Engineer at Meta, living on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
I'm originally from Nottingham, but these days I live with my family up on the moors on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. I work as a software engineer at Meta and co-chair QCon London, and getting to do all of that from a place like this never stops feeling like a good deal.
When I'm not working you'll usually find me outside - walking with the family, running, or out on one of my bikes. And then there's field hockey: I've played at Ben Rhydding Hockey Club for a long time, and I also turn out for the Yorkshire and North East masters sides, regularly representing the region in the national championships. For the 2026/27 season I'm proud to be sponsored by Grays Hockey.
